MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF HOLBROOK PARISH COUNCIL “ARKWRIGHT” PARISH HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HELD AT THE HALL ON MONDAY MARCH 23rd 2009 at 7.15.p.m.

PRESENT:- Councillors Biggin, Mrs. Bott, Hall (Chairman of Users’ Committee), Massey (Chairman), Rhodes, Mrs. M. Hall (Treas. U.C.), and Mrs. L. Phipps (Sec. U.C.).

1. APOLOGIES:- None

2. MINUTES of the previous meeting were accepted as a true record.

3. MATTERS ARISING :-

a) Offer of a piano for use in the Hall – no longer available.
b) Temporary repair outside the South Room needs to be made more permanent – Councillor Hall following up.
c) Probation Service are to begin the exterior painting on 29th March.

4. REPORT FROM USERS’ COMMITTEE:-

Councillor Hall has negotiated a reduction in the electricity Direct Debit.

5. TREASURER’S REPORT:-

Current Account £2,132.85
Business Account £1,021.69
Building Society £ 251.18
Cash in hand £ 43.46
Total £3,449.18

Outstanding Accounts – Belper Musical Theatre

6. REPORT FROM TRUSTEES OF THE NEW PARISH HALL :-

The Transfer documents have been sent to the Church solicitor. Further discussions are needed with the Education Authority.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS :- None
