Once again we are pleased to report that the day to day running of the Hall continues satisfactorily by the Users' Committee under the Chairmanship of Councillor Hall.,
Currently £287,000 is invested in the Bond with the NatWest Bank and this figure will increase to around £292,000 when the Bond matures in June. The “300” Club raised approximately £1,300 over the last year. Whilst we have again lost some members for the forthcoming year we have also gained some new members and we would like to thank everyone for their support. We still need to continue fundraising so that we are in a strong financial position when we apply for funding from external bodies.
We hope that the transfer of land for a new hall will be approved by the Charity Commission in the very near future. The Parish Council recognizes concerns over the length of time this process has taken due to its complexity.
PARISH WARDEN
Our Parish Warden (Melvyn Colebourne) continues to do an excellent job and we and he appreciate parishioners expressing their thanks to him when they see him around the parish.
FIINANCE
There has been no significant change in the parish finances and we continue to raise £12,000 each year through the Parish Precept for the proposed new village hall and play area.
PARISH MAGAZINE
Once again we congratulate all those who have worked hard to keep publishing the magazine and assure all members of the magazine team of our continued support.
PARISH PLAN
The Parish Council has been pleased to support the Holbrook Parish Plan Group.
